These are the most addictive mobile games
YOU’VE all been there - trying hard to beat your friends on stupidly addictive games and playing into the night when we should be sleeping. These apps are the worst offenders.
WE ARE all guilty of wasting countless hours on these games, trying our hardest to beat our friends’ scores and playing well into the night when we should be sleeping.
With the explosion of stupidly-addictive Flappy Bird in the last few weeks, and now it’s recent pulling from the App Store, we thought we would take a look at the most addictive mobile games ever.
Angry Birds
The game that started it all. Who thought that throwing birds at pigs would be so fun? Actually... that does sound quite fun. Angry Birds has since become a staple app, and if your phone doesn’t have it then, well, why doesn’t it?!
Cut the Rope
The object was to make sure that your little monster got his candy he so craved by... cutting ropes. There were obstacles along the way and they provided the right amount of difficulty — but boy was it frustrating if you didn’t get those three stars.
Plants vs Zombies
A game that required you to defend yourself against plants was destined to be fun and addictive, but no one thought it would be this good. It made tower defence games fun again and had that little spark that made you sacrifice food, sleep and work to play that next level. Those Facebook invites got mighty annoying, though.
Candy Crush
Getting those three colours together became very addictive. So addictive in fact, that users spend more than $700,000 a day on help to get to the next level.
Fruit Ninja
The crazy fruit game revolved around you cutting up pieces of food that your karate master threw up. Just make sure you don’t hit the bomb.
Flappy Bird
The latest lucrative mobile addiction kept us drawn to our phone, but drawn to it with frustration, resulting in many phones thrown at the wall. The game got so addictive that the creator decided to rip it down because he felt the addiction was doing more harm than good.
Temple Run
The desire for the highest score kept us playing and racing away from those weird monster things while you felt like Indiana Jones. The power-ups and levels that you could constantly secure, kept us needing to play “just one more time”.
Draw Something/Words with Friends
These games were like board games you could play anywhere, any time. The constant desire to anhilate our friends and prove our superiority proved these games to be winners.
