Jawbone app monitors your coffee consumption
WORRIED you’re drinking too much coffee? Is there even such a thing? Now there’s an easy way to figure out whether you should put that cup down.
Drinking too much coffee? There’s an app for that.
If you’re suffering from the serious caffeine jitters, a new app may be able to help you control your coffee habit.
UP Coffee is a free app from Jawbone, makers of a variety of Bluetooth gadgets, including the Jawbone UP.
Keeping with that fitness and health theme, UP Coffee is an app that tracks your coffee consumption, correlates it with your height, weight, gender and the time when you actually want to get to sleep.
Like the UP band, it progressively builds a profile of your coffee use. You can also optionally tie it into an account if you’re already an UP band user to check against your recorded sleep, although use of the band isn’t mandatory.
It’ll warn you if that espresso is about to send you over the edge, or if that late night latte is going to have you awake at 3am, although it’s not automatic; you’ll have to remember to actually log each cup of coffee as you drink it, presuming you can hold your hands steady long enough to input the details.
