NBA 2K15 introduces face-scan technology for Xbox One and PS4

FOR the first time ever, you can scan your face into the upcoming NBA 2K15 game to have the closest thing to an NBA career you can.

IF YOU have ever dreamt of playing in the NBA, but can’t do a 360 dunk or rip some sweet ankle breakers, then the 2K team may have a feature in the upcoming NBA 2K15 game you will be interested in.

Thanks to the current generations’s cameras and their depth of field camera tech, the game will scan your face and map a 3D model of your face into small points. It’s essentially the same technology that is used to scan the pro players in the game and creates a scarify accurate image of yourself.

Over the last few months, the tagline and hashtag for the game has been Your Time Has Come. No one really thought much of it, but now it’s clear that it was a direct reference to the ability that you will have to put yourself inside the game.

Previous versions of NBA 2K had always been lacking behind other sporting games with their ability to create a player, but with this new addition they may have just leap frogged everyone.

The video below explains the process of getting your face in the game.

Essentially, all you do is stare straight into your console’s camera while you turn your head slowly to the left and right.
