Long-awaited trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 showcases wild west at its best
FANS have been waiting years for Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption sequel. This six-minute trailer will not disappoint.
ROCKSTAR Games have drawn and fired another welcome shot of excitement, dropping the 4K trailer for their hugely anticipated Wild West game Red Dead Redemption 2.
Set in the late 1800s in the US Frontier, the game casts you as Arthur Morgan, an outlaw gang leader “on the run from the pressures of civilised life”.
The six-minute trailer represents some of the first gameplay footage of the upcoming title,
showing off the world, the setting, the graphics and giving fans a taste of what’s to come —
including explosive jailbreaks, saloon brawls and gunfights.
Rockstar is promising a more involved, living, breathing world where the player’s decisions
will truly matter, with the trailer showing Arthur squaring off against a town sheriff, rescuing a man from a bear trap, walking away from a shady situation which he’s decided not to get
involved in, and dealing with the irate family member of one of his victims.
With the promise of more gameplay videos to come, and already viewed more than 2 million times on the official Rockstar YouTube channel since its release a few hours ago, the trailer is adding a lot of buzz to a game which is already tipped to find its way onto game of the year lists following its October 26 release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
