Pokemon Go users unable to log in due to high demand
FELLOW Aussies, it’s officially time to panic. We finally broke Pokemon Go, with users unable to log in due to a server overload.
OUR fellow Australians, it is officially time to panic. We finally broke Pokemon Go.
Aussie players have been unable to log into the popular reality smartphone game all morning, due to high demand.
Users have taken to social media to complain that they can’t sign into the game. When attempting to, they’re presented with a screen reading: “Our servers are experiencing issues. Please come back later.”
The game has only been released in the US, Australia and New Zealand and now some players are accusing UK residents of trying to bypass their local servers to access the game Down Under, resulting in server overloads and outages.
“People in the UK need to stop playing and adding to the server problems,” a user posted on aussieoutages.com today.
While it’s not confirmed if that is the case, the Aussieoutages is carrying numerous messages reporting server issues — to the distress of some players.
“Having no service for pokemon go is stressing me out,” @EzmaeS said.
“This will be an uneventful tram ride,” @TransitDork said.
There were more than 420 registered reports of problems by 8.30am on Tuesday and this number was expected to rise as the morning travel peak hour continued in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Today’s outage was first noticed around 6am this morning, and is yet to be resolved, but some users have been reporting similar issues since the game’s launch on July 6.
Just take a moment to reflect on how dire this situation is — there could be a Mewtwo next to you RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT, and you won’t even be able to catch it.
C’mon Niantic. Get it together!
