Taylor Swift disses Spotify in Vanity Fair article

TAYLOR Swift is not afraid to talk publicly about an ex after a break up, so it is no surprise that she has dished the dirt on her latest ex — streaming service Spotify.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Swift made it pretty clear that she and Spotify are never, ever getting back together.
The pop queen praised Apple for its attitude towards musical artists, saying it treated her like a “voice of a creative community that they actually cared about”.
“And I found it really ironic that the multibillion-dollar company reacted to criticism with humility, and the start-up with no cash flow reacted to criticism like a corporate machine.”
Talk about a cold blooded Tay Tay.
Contrary to what Swift said about Spotify, the company does actually bring in a lot of money — $1.3 billion last year, in fact. However, it is struggling to bring in any profit.
Swift originally removed all her music from Spotify and several other streaming services in November last year as a protest to their “freemium” pricing models that offers users free access in exchange for ads.
Swift has often expressed strong concerns about free streaming services.
“Music is art, and art is important and rare. Important, rare things are valuable. Valuable things should be paid for,” she said last year to The Wall Street Journal.
“It’s my opinion that music should not be free, and my prediction is that individual artists and their labels will someday decide what an album’s price point is. I hope they don’t underestimate themselves or undervalue their art.”
