League of Legends: Wild Rift has its next big update, as patch 3.3 is on the horizon, and there’s plenty to get excited about. New champions, enchantments, and events are in store that promises to shake up the game in a major way. We’ve gone through all of the additions in this patch, and have got the most important ones here so you can get right into the action once the update is live.

New Champions: Kassadin, Samira, and Sion – LoL Wild Rift

The real meat of Wild Rift comes from its champions, so three new characters are going to mix things up. First, there’s Kassadin, the Void Walker, a melee mid-laner who scales powerfully into the late game. Next up it’s Samira, the Desert Rose, who mixes melee and ranged attacks, focused in the dragon lane. Finally, we have Sion, the Undead Juggernaut, who focuses on the baron lane.

Elemental Rift – LoL Wild Rift

To help increase player agency and reduce stress around the early game, Elemental Rift is officially the default map on all Summoners’ Rift game modes from now on. The shifting terrain promises to keep things interesting while keeping enough exploration in there. This map will now be subject to a lot of focus and tune-ups in future updates.

New enchantments – LoL Wild Rift

The patch notes for 3.3 promise “more flexibility” when it comes to enchantments, so you can now swap active items, letting you have a different active without having to sell your current one. On top of that, a few new enchantments have been added and existing ones have been tweaked. Here’s what they all do:

  • Repulsor Enchant – New – Knocks enemies back.

  • Magnetron Enchant – New – Dash to a nearby ally and taunt a nearby enemy.

  • Quicksilver Enchant – Updated – Grants immunity to crowd control, tenacity, and slow resistance.

  • Gargoyle Enchant – Updated – Gain a shield that decays over time, better with three or more enemies nearby.

  • Shadows Enchant – Removed.

Legendary ranked – LoL Wild Rift

A new addition in season 6, this new ranking can be unlocked by players who are Diamond tier or above. This solo-only, points-based queue will have you advance through 6 tiers, with exclusive rewards and skin augments on offer to those who reach the highest tiers. On top of this, the queue will only be active during highly-populated hours so you can consistently get into games.

Star Guardian event – LoL Wild Rift

For a huge array of exclusive skins then you can play in the new Star Guardian event, where you play to earn Star Candies to be spent on unique rewards. If you get the Redeemed Star Guardian event pass, you’ll get access to a set of missions that earn you tokens that can be spent on highly exclusive items.
