Trans streamer in hiding after hotel doxxed
Trans activist and streamer Keffals went into hiding after being cleared of charges by the police. An online hate group found her.
Trans streamer and activist Clara ‘Keffals’ Sorrenti is now in hiding after the hotel she was temporarily staying at was located by an online hate website named Kiwifarms, which she believes is also responsible for her earlier run-in with the police.
In early August, Keffals was raided by SWAT teams after a sick fake email that claimed to be from her was sent to the police. The fake email stated that Keffals had killed her mother and was planning to kill cisgendered people in a mass shooting. Police responded, raiding Keffals’ home, arresting her, and securing all of her streaming equipment.
She has been cleared of all suspicion as of a week ago, and the police have confirmed that they are attempting to locate the person who committed the ‘swatting’ act. Swatting is a dangerous harassment tool that can result in legal fees, imprisonment, or even death.
Keffals temporarily relocated to a hotel out of safety while she moves to a new, unknown location. It was here where she was doxxed further. ‘Doxxing’ is an online term for posting publicly identifiable information, such as home address or phone numbers, for others to use in a harassment campaign.
On August 5th I left my home after I was swatted. I thought I would be safe at a hotel until I was doxxed. Things are escalating, and now I am in hiding. I need everyone to share this as widely as possible. I am scared of what is going to come next.https://t.co/R0mtuHaAAD

First reported by the London Free Press, the harassers used a picture of Keffals’ hotel room to identify where she was staying and bombarded her with pizza deliveries, another common harassment tactic. The pizzas were delivered using Keffals’ “dead-name”, which is her birth name before she transitioned.
Previously, Keffals has stated that she is not giving up her career as a streamer or trans activist, saying that “if they want me to stop, the next time, they better manipulate the police into pulling the trigger.” Since the raid, she has appeared on streams and spoken to media to bring the attention to the forefront. Some politicians, such as Jagmeet Singh, leader of the New Democratic Party in Canada, tweeted their support of Keffals.
She has since moved locations again, and has posted a video publicly requesting help for her moving and legal fees, building what she labelled as a “war chest.” If you wish to donate, you can pitch in via her GoFundMe page.
