The Last of Us Part 1, HBO series, and multiplayer standalone game all seen at Summer Game Fest

Remaster, TV series, and multiplayer game for legendary game series The Last of Us were discussed at Summer Game Fest. Naughty Dog also dropped hints about other new games in development.

The Most Expensive PS2 Games Ever

Naughty Dog, developer of Uncharted and The Last of Us, has a new game on the way.

As yet untitled, the Last of Us multiplayer game is set in San Francisco and is an expanded version of what was originally going to be The Last of Us 2’s multiplayer mode. One piece of concept art was shown, but nothing else.

It was first shown at Summer Game Fest, alongside some chat about the HBO TV series and the sadly-spoiled announcement of The Last of Us Part 1, a remake of the first game for PS5 and PC.

All three look rather good, and Naughty Dog’s co-president Neil Druckmann hinted that there was plenty more to come from the studio. Given The Last of Us Part 1 is coming on September 22, and Druckmann talked about another game he is working on currently.

This was the finale of Summer Game Fest, which given its big reveal was a game that leaked hours before the show, is a bit of a shame.

Here’s the full show, if you want to watch it.

Keighley mentioned that Opening Night Live is on the way August 23 for another big glut of trailers, then the Game Awards is back in December. Finally, yet another Summer Game Fest awaits in a year.
