Contrary to expectations, July 2022 is bringing quite a few good games so we’ve listed only the 10 best titles releasing this month.

In the winter months we are used to seeing quite a few big game announcements but not that many actual game releases. Yet this July still has plenty of titles coming out. To start things off, we’re getting a the new official F1 game, followed by a promising tennis sim.

The month will also see a few remasters and remakes of old classics, and new entries to long-running series, including the latest Xenoblade Chronicles outing. We’re also getting two games offering a fresh point of view.

In this list, we’ve gathered the best video games coming in July 2022.

Being the first release this month, the latest F1 game is already available on all platforms promising a revamped experience to match the big changes we’ve seen coming to the sport this season.

F1 22 releases July 1 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Matchpoint – Tennis Championships

This tennis simulation game really takes the “simulation” part seriously as its developers from Torus Games have worked hard to deliver a very realistic experience. And if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription you can play it for free on day one.

Matchpoint – Tennis Championships releases July 7 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.

Madison

A first-person horror game that combines spooky rituals, gory visuals, and puzzle-solving.

Madison releases July 8 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series

This collection includes the remastered versions of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil, delivering a good dose of nostalgia to everyone who remembers the original games for the PS1 and PS2, with updated graphics and new game modes.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is slated for a July 8 release on the Switch.

Loopmancer

A roguelite action platformer that throws you into the realistically rendered cyberpunk future of Dragon City, where you play as a detective investigating the disappearance of a famous female journalist. The game is coming to PC this month, with versions for other platforms to follow later.

Loopmancer will be available on July 13 for PC via Steam and Epic Games.

Endling – Extinction Is Forever

Endling brings a sad vision of Earth’s near future ravaged by uncontrolled human activity, where you play as the last mother fox on the planet who must nurture her three fox cubs. The hostile but beautifully rendered world of Endling and its environmentally conscious theme will surely capture the attention of gamers this month.

Endling – Extinction is Forever is coming July 19 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.

Stray

Stray also tells its story from the point of view of an animal protagonist. It is a gorgeous game of exploration in a futuristic cyberpunk world full of robots, machines and viruses.

The game is coming as a free day-one release for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe subscribers.

Stray releases on July 19 for PC, PS4, and PS5.

Live A Live

A HD-2D remake of a classic JRPG, originally released for Nintendo’s Super Famicom console, Live A Live’s seven narratives are finally coming to the Switch. The new version will also be the game’s first official release outside of Japan, as the game never made it to the west’s Super Nintendo platform back in 1994.

Live a Live is coming to the Switch on July 22.

Digimon Survive

Bandai Namco is launching a brand-new Digimon game to mark the 25th anniversary of the franchise, which started as the more masculine version of Bandai’s iconic Tamagotchi, at the height of the virtual pet craze in 1997.

The latest game will bring new characters and new monsters with tactical RPG combats featuring over 100 Digimon. And unlike Pokemon, it’s coming to all platforms, not just the Switch.

Digimon Survive releases July 28 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3

The long-running action RPG series is getting a new entry this month. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will function as a sequel to both its predecessors, taking place in the world of Aionios, with two warring nations: Keves and Agnus, letting you command six characters in real-time combat.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 releases July 29 for the Switch.
