Overwatch 2 for Xbox has the wildest game-breaking bug

Overwatch 2 players on Xbox are getting disconnected from the game. Here’s what’s happening.

If you’ve been playing Overwatch 2 on Xbox, you’ve probably received a message telling you that you were disconnected from the game because your profile signed out. Well, the good news is that it’s not just you.

There’s a bug on the Xbox version of Overwatch 2 that kicks you from a match whenever you get an Achievement.

Notice how you got kicked as soon as you found your first game? That’s because you unlocked an Achievement for playing with friends.

The most irritating thing about the bug is how it usually happens when you’re doing well.

Achievements are accolades you get for completing certain feats in a game. That means you have a good chance of being kicked when you’re on a roll.

There are Achievements for winning games under certain conditions, which means you’ll often be booted at the last second of a match. A lot of the others are for playing well with certain characters.

The best way to avoid the bug right now is to stick to the same character since you won’t earn other Achievements once you’ve already got them all for a single hero. This is just how it is until Blizzard patches in a fix.

Overwatch 2 launched on October 4 for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
