Life-size Spheal plush will keep you cool all summer with micro-polyester tech
One life-size Spheal will cost you $500, but look at his giant, rotund nature and tell me it’s not worth it.
Can you put a price on giant, round friendship? A new Pokemon plush for Spheal, the third generation ice/water type Spheal, the roundest of boys, is setting the internet alight. It’s 7.4 kilograms and almost a metre cubed, making it a large and expensive, if entirely necessary, purchase for any home.
Notably, it’s also smooth. Rather than a giant, furry, huggable plush, it’s actually designed to help keep your temperature down thanks to a special material. It’s incredibly thin and feels cool to the touch at all times thanks to its special properties – rather appropriate for this particular Pokemon. Pretty good for the current heatwave being experienced in the Northern Hemisphere too.
This material is very popular in Japan and used on all sorts of products. This may be the first time it’s been used on a video game character, however.
Unfortunately, Spheal can only be delivered inside of Japan, for the time being. Then again, if you’ve got $500 to drop on a cooling Pokemon the size of a table, you can probably get it delivered in Japan somewhere and then shipped Aus-ward, or anywhere else in the world.
It should be noted that this Spheal is life-size, but extremely underweight. It is probably not a real Spheal.
