Games revealed for $900 PlayStation 5 accessory

Sony has revealed every single launch title for the upcoming PlayStation VR2, which is set to cost Australians almost $900.

A month before the launch of the PS5-compatible virtual reality headset, the PlayStation VR2, Sony has revealed every single game coming to the accessory at launch.

37 games are included on the list provided by Sony, 32 of which will be available on launch day. The remaining five will be available shortly afterwards, though an exact time frame for the games was not specified.

The PlayStation VR 2 headset will cost Australians $879.95, more expensive than the PlayStation 5 itself. The headset will require a PS5 to use, and will also come with two motion controllers, one for each hand.

Many of the games included were also available on the first generation of the PS VR, but some of those cross-generation games have free upgrades for the PS VR2. The majority of the games coming to PS VR2 are available on competing VR platforms, such as those available on PC, as well as the Meta-backed Oculus headset.

Some of the games are exclusive to the PS5 VR headset, including Horizon Call of the Mountain, which is based on the Horizon series that included Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Forbidden West. Gran Turismo 7 will also get an update to support the headset, as will a VR mode of Resident Evil Village.

It was recently announced that there would be a new PS5 bundle that makes multiplayer easier, as it includes two PS5 DualSense controllers. The bundle is available to order at Australian retailers, and is expected to launch at the end of the month.

It comes after Sony said the PS5 would no longer have stock issues, after the console’s supply failed to meet demand in the two years since its release in 2020.
