Final Fantasy 7 ‘secret’ is actually the result of a toddler tantrum
A Final Fantasy 7 Remake secret ‘found’ by a fan turns out to be something completely different.
One Final Fantasy fan thought they’d found a stealth update in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. When they booted up the game, the title screen looked different, with a strange halo of light around the iconic buster sword.
The fan assumed this was an update Square Enix put out in the wake of the sequel trailer.
“Holy heck, and now this Rebirth colour effect has been added to the title screen when you boot up Final Fantasy VII Remake,” they said in a tweet.
Only, that wasn’t the case. After getting the Final Fantasy community all hot and bothered, they later realised that their toddler had actually damaged their TV by throwing a toy at it.
Folks, Iâm so sorry. False alarm. Turns out my toddler has thrown a toy at my TV, both damaging the screen and sending the FFVII community into meltdown. https://t.co/xYNCpI9nd1

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will release Winter 2023. The game continues from where Final Fantasy 7 Remake left off, following the story of Cloud and his party as they travel beyond the walls of Midgar.
If you can’t wait that long, we’re also getting Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, a remake of the PSP prequel to FF7.
