SEARCHING the web is a valuable way to learn new information that can assist with your daily life.

It is also helpful in learning new things so pointless that they wouldn’t even help you win pub trivia.

The latest information that falls into the latter category is a video showing what it’s like to be a human cannonball.

While not overly important in the scheme of things, the video makes for some suspenseful viewing.

Released by the Ringling Brothers Circus, the footage shows the world’s youngest cannonball, Gemma Kirby, be shot high into the air.

With a GoPro strapped to her head, the performer is shot out of the cannon at an impressive 96km/h before flying 30m across the room.
