Jurassic Pad: The world's most expensive tablet... or is it?
IS your iPad made from gold, diamonds and dinosaur bones? Not just any dinosaur - but a T-REX? We didn't think so.
AN iPad 2 encrusted with gold, diamonds and shaved Tyrannosaurus rex bone has been created by British luxury goods specialist Stuart Hughes.
With a hefty price tag of $7,708,000 - it's one of the most expensive consumer gadgets in the world.
The iPad 2 Gold History Edition weighs about 2.5kg, almost five times as much as a regular iPad 2, and the main frame is made a 75,000,000-year-old stone sourced from Canada called Ammolite, which Hughes claims is the oldest rock the world has to offer.
And to add extra historical significance to the iPad,a 65,000,000-year-old Tyrannosaurus Rex thigh bone has been shaved into the stone.
But this isn't the first time Hughes has claimed to build extravagant things made of gold and dinosaur bones.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Hughes falsely claimed to have built a $US4.8 billion super boat.

The device is also encrusted with 12.5-carat diamonds and has 53 individual gems forming the Apple logo, which is set into the 24-carat gold back section.
Other devices that Hughes has customised include a gold and diamond-encrusted Nintendo Wii worth $460,000 and an iPhone 4 worth over $7,000,000.
Only two of the devices exist, but according to Sky News, one of them as already been bought by an anonymous buyer.
