Samsung’s new phones could rival Apple’s iPhone 6 with similar features at almost half the price
SAMSUNG has released two new phones that could rival Apple’s iPhone 6 with similar features at almost half the price.
SAMSUNG released a new smartphone in China which could rival Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6S.
However, we might have to wait a little longer before they reach Australia.
The appearance of Galaxy’s C5 and pricier model C7 closely mirrors Apple’s slim design and boasts several similar features.
Both the C5 and C7 include a fingerprint sensor, a metal shell with antenna bands and a camera module centrally located.
And if this wasn’t similar enough, the company has also unveiled colour finishes that were previously popular with Apple’s products, including gold and rose.
But the deal-breaker is the price as Samsung’s models are almost half the price of their Apple equivalent.
The Galaxy C5 is on sale at close to $A500, including 64 GB storage, while the iPhone 6 is priced at around $A1079 for the same amount.
Meanwhile the Galaxy C7 will set customers back around $A590, compared to almost double for the iPhone 6S which costs close to $A1229.
Both models would also include 64 GB storage, according toBusiness Insider UK.
Samsung’s C5 and C7 are currently only available in China but it is thought the company is planning to launch the product to wider markets.
The United States FCC recently certified the Galaxy C5 so it could hit US stores soon.
Mobile phone companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei and Apple currently dominate the Chinese market — but this could be about to change.
