IT’S business 101.

If you are a smartphone company sending a tweet to your loyal followers, use your own product, not that of a competitor.

Yet, it appears this is a concept BlackBerry struggles to grasp.

In a cringe worthy moment of hilarity, the telecommunication and wireless equipment company posted a tweet on their official account while using an iPhone.

The Tweet, since deleted, urged users to keep up with the conversation regarding one of their products.

While the monstrous mistake wasn’t visible to users on the regular Twitter app, it was clear as day for those using third-party clients such as Tweetdeck and Tweetbot.

This isn’t the first time the company has landed in hot water regarding tweets from competitor’s products.

Shortly after BlackBerry announced pop music star Alicia Keys as its new Global Creative Director, she was caught tweeting from an iPhone.

The original tweet was deleted with Keys claiming she was hacked and didn’t post the tweet in question.

While the hack excuse may have helped in that case, it appears the latest blunder hasn’t been so lucky.

When will you learn, BlackBerry?
