Sheer terror caught on film by GoPro-wearing armed robbery victim in South Africa
IT was just a bike ride — until the gunman appeared. Extraordinarily, that gut-churning moment of terror was caught by the victim’s helmet cam.
AT first he just looks like a man, running in the distance — then he changes direction and it becomes horribly clear that danger is approaching, fast.
The sickening sensation of being held at gunpoint has been captured by a mountain biker, who was robbed while wearing a GoPro camera on his helmet.
The bike rider, Malcolm Fox, uploaded video to YouTube on Monday.

It shows the moment he is ambushed by a man armed with a gun and two others on May 31 in Somerset West, South Africa.
The robbers can be seen gesturing and telling Fox to walk away from them.
At one point the gunman appears to look right into the GoPro camera but does not tell Fox to remove it.
The YouTube description, which Fox posted to his channel Lucky Jakkals, says that he was on the last leg of his bike ride from Ongegund and that “armed gunman and two others” stopped him and took his cellphone, car keys, Oakley sunglasses and bike.
“Fortunately they did not have a clue what a GoPro was, and this is the evidence that will assist in their procecution! [sic],” the video’s description continues.
Police spokesman Lt. Col. Andre Traut told The Citizen that the three suspects have been caught and charged with robbery.
With the help of the GoPro, police managed to arrest two suspects on Sunday, a day after the incident occurred, with the third arrested on Monday.
“Thorough investigation work led investigators to the suspects with the help of the footage,” said Traut.
