A LION cub recently proved himself the king of the urban jungle when he was caught wandering the streets of Ufa, a Russian city.
One quick thinking (read: brave) passer-by saw the cub had a collar, and managed to tie it to a nearby fence until the city’s emergency rescue service arrived.
The cub, unfazed by human attention, patiently allowed onlookers to snap photos during the wait.
According to reports the five-month-old cub, called Sherkhan, was a birthday gift for a local Russian schoolboy.
A local news site spoke to the father of the boy. He said the animal somehow escaped while being taken for a vaccination.
The cub has since between returned to its happy owners where he is recovering from his stressful ordeal on their 40 hectare property.
