IT MAY have surprised some, but the year’s first snowfall fell early this morning in Thredbo providing exciting scenes for skiers.
AUSTRALIA, the winter’s first significant bit of snow has arrived.
The Bureau of Meteorology had forecast an 80 per cent chance of rain or snow in the NSW alpine region overnight and they weren’t wrong, much to the surprise of some.
“Thredbo’s first snow for 2016. Must hand it to the bureau, I didn’t think it would snow last night,” wrote one Thredbo resident on Twitter.
