Samsung has been accused of 'slavishly' copying Apple's iPad and iPhone, resulting in a worldwide legal wrangle between the competing electronics giants.
Apple wants a temporary sales injunction that would stop Samsung releasing the Tab in Sydney in about a week.
Samsung lawyers have tabled a patent deal with Apple, but say "no agreement has been reached".
"The parties are a considerable distance apart," Neil Young told the Federal Court.
