A NEW iPhone app called Code Red is a calendar that claims to help men survive their woman's monthly cycle.

The app makes the point that relationships suffer less when significant others are aware of when that "time of the month" is.

And get this: Code Red isn't the first period-tracking app on the market. Its co-creators, pro surfer Jon Rose, and husband-wife-duo Kevin and Lisi Harrison, insist that menstrual-cycle-tracking programs are a booming trend among couples.

"It's good for everyone," Lisi Harrison says on Code Red's distribution website. "It's a giant step towards world peace."

Code Red promises to alert men throughout the month. A green smiley face winks when men have the best chance to "score.

"When a woman is supposed to be ovulating, a yellow "yield" symbol with sounds of a crying baby pops up. And a female symbol with devil horns alerts about PMS time with survival tips, such as, "work late some other time."
