Boeing’s 787-9 Dreamliner shows off some smooth moves

YOU don’t normally expect a giant passenger jet to be able to pull off moves like this — let’s just hope we never have to experience them first-hand.

Introducing the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

BOEING has given us a glimpse of the smooth moves of its newest aircraft the 787-9 Dreamliner.

In a video posted to YouTube this month the 280-seat aircraft pulls off some impressive manoeuvres including a steep takeover and tight turns.

The $299 million plane performs the series of high speed banking turns and a touch-and-go landing with ease.

The jet-like stunts already have people buzzing ahead of the 2014 Farnborough Airshow, which will run until the end of the week.

But while they look amazing, it’s unlikely that passengers will experience these manoeuvres when it enters service with Air New Zealand later this year.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will start flying in New Zealand this year.
