A VERY funny Canadian ad has taken a shot at Vladimir Putin and offered support for gay athletes competing in the Sochi Winter Olympics.
THE Canadian Institute of Diversity and Inclusion has released a very funny 30-second ad to show its support for gay and lesbian athletes competing in the games.
The Institute, which fosters more inclusive workplaces across Canada, is just one of many organisations to lend their support to the Olympics' gay contingent, who are competing in a country which, in recent years, has ushered in regressive anti-gay laws.
Just yesterday Google changed its homepage in a silent show of opposition to the Russian laws, which ban the distribution and promotion of materials on gay rights.
With the tagline "The Games have always been a little gay. Let's fight to keep them that way," the advertisement presents a rather homoerotic take on the winter sport of luge.
