Those flips, corkscrews and incredible tricks can go very, very wrong. When they do, it’s extremely dangerous.
Just ask halfpipe skier Rowan Cheshire. The 18-year-old British athlete knocked herself unconscious for several minutes during a training session on Sunday after falling on her face.
She was taken to hospital, where she stayed overnight.
Ms Cheshire then tweeted this photo. Ouch. That’s all we can say, really.
