Only Kazakhstan and Slovakia fared worse than our team, while Norway led the way with an impressive ratio of 13.6 weighted medals per 100 athletes and host country Russia not far behind.
The mighty USA finished mid-table, with its enormous team delivering only 6.7 weighted medals per hundred competitors. Australia finished with 2.1.
