Fox Sports Lab NBA host Jack Heverin and expert Jaymz Clements divert from the NBA playoffs to talk about the national team Boomers World Cup squad that has just been announced and if Ben Simmons should play.

Fox Sports Lab NBA’s Jack Heverin and Jaymz Clements are excited by this new look Boomers World Cup squad that has just been announced.

“This is the deepest Boomers squad ever, with 10 NBA players, the fact that Aron Baynes is out of the team shows the depth,” says Clements.

Jack believes the biggest question is if Ben Simmons can eventually be added to this lineup after being out for most of the NBA season.

“I think if he is committed, leave the door open but not if he shows his usual individualism… this team is all about good vibes, was how the Boomers won Bronze in Tokyo and Simmons could upset that,” explains Clements.

Jaymz and Jack finish off by naming who they think should be in the starting lineup for the World Cup, but they both believe that there are plenty of options to win a medal or push for gold this year.
