The UFC world has been left up in arms once again following a judging disaster on Sunday afternoon.

Women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso put her title on the line against Valentina Shevchenko.

The fight went the distance with both fighters left looking a little worse for wear following a five-round epic.

But as we’ve seen far too often throughout the history of the UFC, the judges scorecards left those watching on in sheer disbelief.

As Grasso and Shevchenko stood in the middle of the Octagon waiting for the scores to be read out, the challenger’s face said it all after a split draw (48-47, 47-48, 47-47) was announced.

Once the judges scorecards were shown it became even more absurd with one judge giving Grasso the final round 10-8 despite Shevchenko owning the majority of the round.

The 35-year-old Shevchenko couldn’t hide her displeasure after the announcement as she spoke with Daniel Cormier.

“I think it really was 3-2 on my side, but I think judges felt a little bit of pressure because it was Mexican Independence Day,”

“In a fair fight, in a fair competition, victory would be mine.”

The UFC world came together as one to condemn the outcome with many calling out Mike Bell and demanding answers as to how his final round score came to be.

Sherdog wrote: “Mike Bell giving Round 5 a 10-8 is wild.”

BloodyElbow wrote: “A 10-8 round 5????? From Mike Bell? What in the hell is that. Maybe his handwriting just sucks.”

Joshua Bell wrote: “No way that was a 10-8 last round. Submission was never really threat.”
