UFC star Sean O’Malley has been slammed for claiming he is entitled to cheat on his wife due to his success, The Sun reports.

The American secured a huge win over Aljamain Sterling on Saturday night, knocking him out in the second round to be crowned champion.

His wife and mother to his three-year-old daughter Danya Gonzalez celebrated victory with him in the octagon.

O’Malley discussed their relationship on the Raw Talk podcast and has been widely criticised by fans.

The fighter sparked the controversy by admitting that he cheats on his wife and he should be allowed to do so because he funds their lifestyle.

He added that Danya is not allowed to do the same and he does not want her to sleep with other people.

O’Malley said: “I’m a king. I pay for everything.

“I treat Danny like a queen. If I get a little p**s on the side, what does that have to do with anything?

“I have testosterone running through my veins - it’s that f*****g simple.

“I wouldn’t say that if I was in the opposite position, if I wasn’t paying for everything, if I wasn’t successful.

“If I was an average Joe, it probably wouldn’t be fair. But I feel like I’m f*****g King Kong.”

O’Malley referenced Andrew Tate for his thought process regarding polygamy.

“Andrew Tate explains it well. It’s status. You know I got status, so I can,” O’Malley said, potentially referencing this clip of Tate saying that women give men status.

Tate gained notoriety in recent years for his highly luxurious lifestyle, while boasting an ultra-masculine persona.

He is currently facing human trafficking charges in Romania, which he has denied.

O’Malley also said — with an eye roll — that his wife is “never fine with it” and that she goes “through phases” when it comes to accepting their relationship choices.

Fans have hit out at O’Malley, one said: “Why get married at that point? You should never cheat on your wife. Period.”

More added: “That’s so low of him. Why say this in public?”

A third commented: “That’s not a man.”

Another added: “It’s quite disgusting, whichever gender does it.”

O’Malley previously revealed that he and his wife are in an open relationship.

He explained on the Full Send podcast last year: “Everyone’s definition of an open relationship is different. I like to think of ours as just an open-minded relationship where we don’t own each other.

“I don’t own her, and she doesn’t own me. When I first met Danya, I told her, ‘I don’t know why anyone would f*** the same chick for the rest of their life, I can’t do that.’ So she knew she wasn’t in love with a phony me.

“We’ve had some dope threesomes. Every relationship should be okay with it, that just needs to happen.”
