A FedEx delivery driver in the United States had no idea he was being filmed on the job and it has not ended well for his career prospects.

It wasn’t just anyone filming him, it was a passenger sitting alongside UFC president Dana White, who was being driven in New York City when his driver stopped in traffic.

White’s passenger then took out his phone and started filming the delivery driver casually tossing more than a dozen boxes into the back of a truck.

He had zero regard for the contents of the packages, seemingly practising his jumpshot with a number of them.

White, who was among the speakers at last Sunday’s Netflix Roast of Tom Brady, and his passenger were in hysterics throughout the video, which you can see below.

“FedEx: We’ll get your s**t there, but we’ll f**k it up,” White said to the camera.

“My boy don’t give a f**k.”

As the video continues, the person shooting it is heard saying “oh, so good” as they took delight in the wild moment.

FedEx was far from delighted, however, after the delivery giant became aware of the video, which had gone viral courtesy of White’s 9.3 million followers on Instagram.

FedEx released a statement to TMZ, confirming the driver had since been sacked.

“The behaviour depicted in the video is unacceptable and inconsistent with the professionalism FedEx demonstrates every day,” the statement read.

“We are committed to treating our customers’ packages with the utmost care and this driver is no longer providing service for our company as a result of this behaviour.”

The video received hundreds of comments, with many of them supporting the company’s decision to fire the employee.

One wrote: “I hope nobody mad at the people recording because this is straight negligence … good he’s terminated.”

Another commented: “If only y’all seen what happens in the warehouse lol.”

A third wrote: “You have to be mindful, you never know who’s watching you on these jobs.”

Another Instagram user and business owner vented on how they would feel if it was their packages being treated in that manner.

“I sell candles,” they wrote. “If those were my packages, I’d be happy someone recorded that so I could submit my claims when my customers complain about broken shipments.”

Another suggested the driver had clearly stopped caring about his role, writing: “I know what it looks like when you no longer give a f**k about your job.”

There were some comments defending the driver, criticising White and even questioning the decision to fire the employee.

“Quarter billionaire getting the common man fired,” was one comment, referencing White’s wealth.

“Why they fired him? Boxes get tossed all the time, they get tossed more aggressively in the FedEx store. Get him some help or a truck that lowers the ramp. Boxes always get thrown, that’s why you put wrap in the boxes. That didn’t hurt nothing in them boxes,” wrote another.

“This looks like a failure on the company to provide trucks with lifts / ramps / assistants..... AND I don’t see fragile on a single box,” suggested another.

The next event in White’s hugely popular UFC schedule is a Fight Night in St Louis on Sunday (AEST), headlined by the clash between heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Rodrigo Nascimento.
