‘As violent a finish we’ve seen’: Slam knockout rocks UFC
A fighter has produced one of the scariest knockouts you’re ever likely to see. Fans were left holding their breath as his opponent remained down for several minutes.
UFC fans were left holding their breath for the safety of one fight after he was knocked out cold in terrifying circumstances in Las Vegas.
The action got underway early on in the card with a brutal knockout from Ilia Topuria, but it was Jordan Leavitt who delivered one of the wildest knockouts you’re likely to see.

Seconds into the opening fight on the main card Leavitt went to work and secured the win in less than 30 seconds and left social media blowing up.
Leavitt picked up Matt Wiman early on before carrying him across the Octagon. He then placed his forearm on the neck of Wiman before slamming him into the canvas.
Wiman’s head crashed hard into the canvas and instantly turned his lights off where he remained motionless for a long period of time as fans watched on in disbelief as to what they had just seen.
“As violent a finish as we’ve seen in the Octagon in recent times,” Paul Felder said after the finish.
Leavitt after the fight wished he didn’t have to hurt his opponent, but was glad to secure another win.
“That‘s pretty brutal and it was hard to think about, but it’s the fight game, it happens and I’m happy for the win. I just wish I didn’t hurt somebody, I guess,” he said.

“OH MY GOD WHAT A KO”
After a dour and slow paced fight to open proceedings, fans were gifted a brutal showing when Ilia Topuria displayed his heavy hands in a brutal clinic.
Topuria went to work early on the body of his opponent, Damon Jackson, and the end was in sight after one potent combination.
A right hand uppercut opened up the guard of Jackson and Topuria took advantage of the invitation and landed a devastating left hand to the body which crumpled Jackson.
Three more hooks from Topuria was all it took before the referee stepped in and brought the fight to an end.
He chopped him down like a tree! ðµ

‘THESE MEN LOOK TERRIBLE’
Fans were less than impressed with the showing put forth in the opening fight between Jake Collier and Gian Villante which went the three round distance.
Both fighters have only recently made the move up to heavyweight and the change showed as they were both sucking in big mouthfuls of air as the fight went on.
Those watching on couldn’t help but question if either man had done any form of cardio in the lead up to the fight which Collier won via unanimous decision.
These men look terrible. Literally. Looks like they celebrated Thanksgiving every day of November. #UFCVegas16

Collier and Villante know they can still be aerobically fit even though they went up in weight, right? #UFCVegas16
