UFC 229 has been the biggest talking point in the world of sport for the past week, thanks to the ugly fallout from the main event.

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov went toe-to-toe, but it was after the fight when the real action kicked off.

Khabib’s rampage out of the cage, along with his teammates jumping McGregor inside the cage set the UFC into meltdown.

The horrific moment captured the world’s attention and left Dana White “disgusted” as to what had unfolded.

Both fighters were handed 10-day suspensions from the UFC, but one of Khabib’s friends and teammates could be facing severe punishment.

Zubaira Tukhugov, was revealed to be the man who jumped the cage and sucker punched McGregor while the Irishman was unawares.

White pulled the pin on Tukhugov’s next fight scheduled on the 27th October before revealing he was considering banning him completely.

The move didn’t sit too well with the Russian champ who threatened to quit the promotion if his teammate is removed.

With the UFC star’s future hanging in the balance, he has revealed he has been approached for a blockbuster fight.

Nurmagomedov has claimed the WWE have approached him.

The world’s largest wrestling promotion has wasted no time in going after the in demand Russian and wants him to become the latest UFC star to make the switch.

He would join in the likes of Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar as fighters who have made the shock decision to change allegiances.

And he appeared to immediately set his sights on former UFC heavyweight king and ex-WWE Universal champion Lesnar.

Lesnar is one of the biggest drawcards in both UFC and WWE, but Nurmagomedov wants a piece of the man known as “The Beast Incarnate”.

Lesnar is expected to return to the Octagon in 2019 after a much-hyoed fight with current UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier for later this year fell through.

Nurmagomedov’s rival McGregor has spoken of WWE’s interest before and upset a series of superstars when he taunted them two years ago, declaring the roster were “dweebs”.

As the investigation into the ugly fallout from UFC 229 continues, the speculation surrounding just where Nurmagomedov’s will end up will only intensify.

Currently riding an 11-fight win streak, the ideal fight for the champion to defend his belt would be against Tony Ferguson.

Ferguson is currently the #1 ranked contender and is also riding his own 11-win fight streak after dispatching Anthony Pettis prior to the UFC 229 main event.

No matter what comes next, all eyes will be glued on the fight and the chaos that once again may ensue following the final bell.
