CONOR McGregor’s next speculated opponent has shared a glimpse of his devastating power on social media.

THE “crazy” Russian stereotype gets thrown around a lot on social media, but spare a thought for these utterly insane fans in Tajikistan.

UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov is hard at work preparing for his next fight in the Octagon but found space in his busy schedule to spend some quality time with his supporters.

The 28-year-old wrecking ball was ambushed by a group of fans asking him to throw everything he had into a punch aimed at one of their friends.

There must be something seriously amiss inside someone’s brain if they’re asking for one of the most prolific lightweight strikers to belt them in the stomach.

But then again, if you survive, you’ve got bragging rights for the rest of your life.

Khabib obliged to the insane fan’s request, jabbing him in the stomach with a lightning-fast strike as the group howled.

The video has been viewed over 500,000 times from the superstar’s Instagram account.

“This is not my job,” he said. “Crazy fan.”

Nurmagomedov’s next fight hasn’t been sealed, but a rumour he will be facing lightweight champion Conor McGregor later in the year has quickly grown legs.

UFC president Dana White touched on the subject midway through McGregor’s press tour to promote his boxing megafight against Floyd Mayweather.

McGregor himself has also expressed interest in facing the Russian star in his home country.

“That’s certainly an option that I’m exploring,” he told BT Sport last week.

“That would be a spectacle. It’d be like something out of Rocky. I suppose this whole story is like a Rocky story, right?

“So why not face a man in his home country, and a crazy place like Russia. It’s certainly something I’d like to do. There’s a couple of options on the table so let’s see what unfolds.”

McGregor is hard at work preparing for what he says will be a relatively easy win over Mayweather in August.

The 29-year-old cross-code fighter acquired his boxing license in November 2016, so it’s a safe bet he’s lightened his MMA training load for the best part of nine months — which means Khabib could soon have his measure if the pair meet in the Octagon later in the year.

Despite his boxing-heavy training load, McGregor says he’ll be able to bounce back into his old MMA rhythm in no time at all.

“I believe so,” he said. “I believe I’ll come out of this fight without a scratch. [Take] a couple weeks to refresh my jiu-jitsu and my wrestling — not that I’ve stopped training that either, I’ve still kept up on that, just less — and then we’ll see what happens.”
