JUST a few days ago, UFC fighters Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier demolished a stage while brawling at their press conference in a Las Vegas hotel.

Now their relationship has, believe it or not, deteriorated further.

Jones and Cormier, who are scheduled to fight each other in the ring on September 27, were interviewed on ESPN’s SportsCentre program on Saturday. After the interview, an off-air video captured the pair exchanging vicious sledges. There was even a death threat.

Here is the full exchange, as transcribed by MMAFighting.com:

Jones: “Hey p***y, are you still there?”

Cormier: “I’m here, I’m here. You are just the fakest person. I actually admire that you can actually be this fake, and like, when the TV comes on, how you can just change. It’s like you’re a chameleon. It’s awesome.”

Jones: “Hey listen. I’m a professional. That fact that you’re a p***y ...”

Cormier: “It’s unbelievable. It’s unbelievable.”

Jones: “The fact that you’re a p***y hasn’t changed, but I am a professional.”

Cormier: “It’s unbelievable how fake you can really be. Like, you are just such a f***ing p***y. My god, it’s amazing. It is amazing. But you know, hats off to you. You’ve got a great PR person, they do a great job with training you because you are just terrible. You’re the f***ing scum of the earth. You are a terrible human being, but you can sure turn it on, huh?”

Jones: “Thank you.”

Cormier: “God, you f***ing ...”

Cormier: “I wish they would let me next door so I could spit in your f***ing face.”

Jones: “You know I would absolutely kill you if you ever did something like that, right?”

Cormier: “You could never kill me.”

Jones: “Oh, I bet you I could.”

Cormier: “Then you should try. You really should try, Jon.”

Jones: “I would literally kill you if you spit in my face.”

Cormier: “Yeah, let’s try that Jon.”

Jones: “Literally kill you.”

Cormier: “Let’s try that, Jon.”

Jones: “I’m not saying I would fight you. I said I would kill you if you did some silly s**t like that.”

Cormier: “Jon, do you think I’m just going to sit there and let you kill me, Jon? I mean, really?”

These aren’t the wittiest sledges we’ve ever heard, but they certainly bite.

Last week, Jones and Cormier came to blows during a press conference at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas, leaving a path of wanton destruction in their wake. The brawl erupted as the pair met to promote their bout in September.

Jones, the UFC’s reigning light-heavyweight champion, lightly butted Cormier’s forehead with his own as the two fighters stared each other down on stage. Cormier responded by shoving his rival, prompting Jones to throw a wild punch.

The ensuing melee completely destroyed the stage. Eventually, Jones and Cormier were separated by desperate UFC officials and the MGM Grand’s security guards.

“We expect more from our athletes, especially these two gentlemen, who are very well-trained and highly educated professionals. Their actions were clearly a violation of the UFC’s code of conduct,” the UFC’s Chief Legal Officer, Kirk Hendrick, said after the incident.
