Israel Adesanya goes nuclear in expletive Dricus du Plessis tirade

Israel Adesanya has delivered a blistering online attack in the direction of a rival who reportedly pulled the pin on a title fight.

Israel Adesanya unleashed a visceral tirade on social media, taking aim at the man he was set to fight at UFC 293 in Sydney.

The middleweight champion blasted South African Dricus du Plessis after he reportedly withdrew from the blockbuster title showdown.

Du Plessis earned his shot at the title after upsetting Australian star Robert Whittaker during UFC 290.

With only nine weeks separating the two events it appears Adesanya will now have to face a new challenger with American Sean Strickland set to take du Plessis’ place.

Adesanya posted to his personal Twitter account where he launched a blistering attack against his rival.

“I don’t even know how to start this but Dricus Du Pussy, you f***ing bitch. Oh, all you had to do was put on some gloves, ‘I was ready to go again’. No you weren’t,” Adesanya said in the video.

“You’re a bi**h. That’s why you’re not taking this fight. N***er, my knee was jacked for my last fight. But guess what I did? I showed up because that’s what a champion does.

“Championship caliber. We’re built different. When you fighters talk about ‘oh, I’ll fight anyone, anywhere, anytime’ … no you won’t. I do.

“Alex Volkanovski does. We’re built different. I’m at the gym right now about to get some work. So I’m fighting in Sydney, don’t give a f*** who.

“So Di**less Du Pussy – ha, di**less – f*** off, you’re out.

“Strickland, you’re in. Let’s do the man dance. I’ll show you how to really dance.

“I’m tired of all you guys talking about ‘I can fight, I can fight’. No you can’t.

“You’re a pussy, bi**h.”

Adesanya made headlines at UFC 290 for all the wrong reasons after he stormed into the octagon following du Plessis’ shock victory over Whittaker.

After entering the cage and confronting his new rival, he bombarded him with expletives while using a series of racial slurs.

“Wassup, bitch? Wassup, my African brother, you bitch,” Adesanya said, before unleashing a tirade, including several n-bombs.

Two Kiwi fighters have been announced for the UFC 293 blockbuster in Sydney on September 10, with City Kickboxing duo Kai Kara-France and Mike ‘Blood’ Diamond set to step into the Octagon.

Kara-France takes on the 18-6 Manel Kape in a three rounder.

Kara-France’s teammate ‘Blood’ Diamond faces American Charlie ‘Chuck Buffalo’ Radtke in a three-round welterweight clash.

One of the most exciting fighters coming out of New Zealand, Diamond has suffered two defeats in his two UFC bouts to date and is looking to notch up his first win against promotional newcomer Radtke.

The Auckland-based pair join Tai Tuivasa as confirmed bouts on the UFC first fight card in Sydney since 2017.
