The 26-year-old caught the attention of UFC boss Dana White at his Contender Series and blew commentator Joe Rogan away on debut at UFC 270 earlier this year.
He is on a 13-fight winning streak and has begun his UFC career with three straight wins.
Della Maddalena has made no secret of his desire to take on a ranked fighter, ideally in the top 15, as his rapid rise up the welterweight division continues.
After his latest performance, the West Australian is now all but certain to feature at UFC 284 in February in front of a home crowd.
“It meant a lot,” Della Maddalena said after the fight.
“I felt a bit of pressure. I wanted to get this one out of the way to get to Perth. I’m gunning for Perth.
“Anybody in Perth would be ideal and then just on a bigger and better year next year.”
The first UFC card in Australia since 2019 is set to feature a stacked line-up of local fighters including Alex Volkanovski, Robert Whitaker and Tyson Pedro.
Volkanovski will take on newly crowned lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in a mouth-watering fight as he aims to add a second belt to his lightweight strap and become a rare UFC double champion.
