The American UFC fighter plans to auction off a custom-made chain with the likeness of Conor McGregor for charity following his victory at UFC 264 on the weekend.
YouTuber Jake Paul donned the chain at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena – it depicts “Sleepy McGregor” after he was knocked out by Poirier at UFC 257 back in January.

Paul offered to ship the chain to Poirier on Twitter, and later confirmed the UFC star had sent over his address.
“It’s real,” Paul told ESPN on Tuesday.
“I’m hoping (Poirier) takes a picture with it. I think that’d be the most legendary thing and make Conor look so stupid.”

Poirier’s manager Robert Roveta confirmed the deal to ESPN, revealing that the 32-year-old planned to auction off the chain for charity.
According to Roveta, the chain has been shipped but not arrived just yet.
Earlier this year, McGregor vowed to donate $500,000 to Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation, but he instead donated the six-figure sum to the Boys & Girls Club in Louisiana.
“We thanked him because his team reached out fight week to initiate the process but ghosted us the past two months after the fight,” Poirier said of McGregor’s revoking of the donation.
“My foundation has reached out three times since with no reply. We’ve moved past it! We will be announcing our next goal soon! It’s a big one.”
In response, McGregor threatened to pull out of the fight at UFC 264.

After breaking his tibia in the first round of Sunday’s fight, a video revealed what McGregor said on the edge of the Octagon as doctors attended him.
“In your sleep you’re getting it, in your sleep you’re dead, you and your missus, it ain’t over,” McGregor cried.
Speaking to BT, Poirier couldn’t believe what he was saying.
“He was sitting there on the mat with a broken leg pointing like this (gun to his head) telling me he was going to kill me still,” Poirier said.
“Like what are you doing bro? That’s disgusting man. I’ll break his other leg.”
Poirier’s wife Jolie was pictured flipping McGregor off as she stood in the Octagon post-fight.
