SHOTS fired.

Victoria Azarenka did not appreciate a question comparing her return from an injury to Eugenie Bouchard’s on-court struggles, and lashed out at the competing ponytailed blonde at a Tuesday press conference in China.

“Well, I didn’t lose 11 matches in a row, so it’s a little bit different of a learning experience she has with herself,” Azarenka said.

“I’m not in the position to comment on what she’s done.”

Here is the full question and response via an unrelated journalist, named Carole Bouchard:

Azarenka, a two-time Australian Open champion, has plateaued in the rankings during a slow return from a foot injury.

The comments came after she had to retire from a match against Johanna Konta at the Wuhan Open.

Bouchard has had a miserable 2015 — though her longest losing streak was six, not 11 — after reaching the finals of Wimbledon a year ago.

Bouchard had reached the fourth round of the US Open, only to suffer a concussion in a locker room slip-and-fall.

Bouchard was trying to make her return at the Wuhan Open, but was still suffering from lingering concussion issues after flying to China.

“I am frustrated and disappointed that I won’t be able to compete at the Wuhan Open this week, Bouchard said.

“Having reached the final last year, I was very much looking forward to playing for the great fans here. I travelled to Wuhan with the intention of playing.

“Unfortunately, my concussion symptoms came back during practice on Saturday and It would not be safe for me to go on court today. I will rest in Wuhan for the next few days to determine how I progress, and look forward to coming back here to play in this great city next year.”

There was not much pity from Azarenka.
