Novotna was famously brought to tears after losing the 1993 Wimbledon final against Steffi Graf when leading 4-1 in the deciding set but eventually claimed the title five years later.
Novotna won 24 singles titles, with the 1998 Wimbledon crown her only Grand Slam title. She reached the final of the Australian Open in 1991.
