GREAT FORM: Aussies keep firing as nine make second round

FED FUTURE: ‘I want to take kids to school’

STAY FOCUSED: Can Kyrgios heed a legend’s advice?

“He supports all the Aussies. He watches other Aussies matches as well. We’re good friends and it’s nice to see the support.”

Tomljanović, 22, referred to Lleyton Hewitt cheering on fellow Aussie James Duckworth in his 7-6 6-2 3-6 3-6 7-5 win over Tunisia’s Malek Jaziri earlier in the day as an example of the kind of support she received from Kyrgios.

“I actually really like that sort of culture,” she said.

“I’ve never had that before. It’s nice that everyone is supportive. Everyone cares. To be part of that group is special.”

Croatian-born Tomljanović is not the first player to be linked romantically to Kyrgios, the most prominent being Victoria Azarenka after a flirtatious Twitter exchange last January in which the 20-year-old Australian offered to give the 26 year-old Belarusian “private” lessons to improve her serve.

“Okay,” she replied.

“I’ll book one.”
