9.15pm AEDT - DJOKOVIC DEMOLISHES DAVID
In a performance he described as one of the finest of his career, Novak Djokovic crushed David Ferrer 6-2 6-2 6-1 in tonight's semi-final to book his spot in Sunday's Australian Open final.
Whether it was with his booming serve, deadly groundstrokes or deft touch at the net, the world No.1 could not put a foot wrong in a stunning performance that will give him all the confidence in the world as he vies for a historic third consecutive Australian Open title.
Djokovic said he didn't think he could play any better than he did tonight and that he was looking forward to a couple of days off, where he would be sure to fit in a screening of tomorrow night's highly anticipated semi between Roger Federer and Andy Murray.
8.45pm AEDT - NOVAK ROLLING TOWARDS FINAL
David Ferrer has no answers for Novak Djokovic tonight.
The Serb has rolled to a 6-2 6-2 lead and it appears just a matter of time before he books his spot in the men's final, where he will meet either Roger Federer or Andy Murray.
Follow Djokovic-Ferrer live in the box above.
8.10pm AEDT - NOVAK CRUISES THROUGH FIRST SET
Novak Djokovic eased through the first set 6-2 against Spain's David Ferrer in tonight's semi-final.
It took just 29 minutes, as the No. 1 took complete control.
5.25pm AEDT - AZARENKA SURVIVES ATTACK OF NERVES
Victoria Azarenka almost became Sloane Stephens' second comeback victim in as many days after the world No.1 fell over the line in their semi-final.
Azarenka was well in control at 6-1 4-2 before she began to tense up, eventually needing six match points across two games to win through to another Australian Open final.
Stephens appeared down and out but fought back gamely in the second set, almost pulling even with the Belarussian but eventually succumbing after Azarenka took a lengthy injury timeout at 5-4 in the second set to "calm down". Check out the video below.

3.20pm AEDT - SHARAPOVA BOUNCED FROM OPEN
Maria Sharapova is out of the Australian Open. Read the full report.
The world No.2 was the hot favourite heading into her semi-final against Li Na, but the Chinese came ready and was almost unstoppable, sending Sharapova packing 6-2 6-2.
Li took full advantage of an out-of-sorts Sharapova, who had lost only nine games in five matches at this year's tournament and struggled the first time she was tested, giving up two breaks of serve in each set.
Li will now take on the winner of the upcoming match between world No.1 Victoria Azarenka and Sloane Stephens.
2.45pm AEDT - KOKKINAKIS COMPLETES UPSET
Sixteen-year-old Adelaide wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis has pulled off one of the upsets of the boys' singles tournament, beating No.2 seed Gianluigi Quinzi in a three-set quarter-final thriller.
Kokkinakis had the better of a first-set tiebreak, taking it 7-5, but struggled to maintain his level in the second, dropping it 6-2.
But the Aussie found something special in the final set, breaking Quinzi when they couldn't be separated after 12 games and taking the set 8-6.
12.54pm AEDT - BRYAN BROTHERS FINALISTS YET AGAIN
The only surprising thing out on Rod Laver Arena this afternoon is that all-conquering doubles pairing Bob and Mike Bryan dropped a set in their semi-final.
The Bryans weren't at their best, but were still far too good for Italians Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini, winning 6-4 4-6 6-1.
11.59am AEDT - KYRGIOS MAKES WINNING START FOR AUSSIES
We've already got a couple of ladies into a doubles final, and soon one of our boys' singles prospects might join them.
Nick Kyrgios took just 50 minutes to take South African seventh seed Wayne Montgomery apart in their quarter-final this morning, setting up a potential semi-final against top seed Nikola Milojevic.
If you haven't seen Kyrgios before, you'll remember him the first time you do - he's the kid whose ball bounce before serving involves him dropping the ball behind his bum and through his legs.
11.36am AEDT
Things have started well for the remaining Aussie contingent at the Aus Open, with boys' singles No.3 seed Nick Kyrgios romping to a 6-1 2-0 lead over South African Wayne Montgomery in their quarter-final.
Kyrgios took just 21 minutes to take the first set, breaking the seventh seed three times in a dominant display first-up on Show Court 2.
11am AEDT
It's women's semi-final day at Melbourne Park, with most tipping Maria Sharapova and world No.1 Victoria Azarenka to stroll into Saturday's decider. But will there be another surprise?
After Sloane Stephens won the hearts of thousands with her shock win over Serena Williams yesterday, she's certain to have plenty of support in the stands at Rod Laver Arena.
So too will Li Na, who takes on the rampaging Sharapova in the first of the semis.
Later tonight, Novak Djokovic will try to win his way through to another Open final when he takes on Spaniard David Ferrer.
The winner will meet the victor of Friday night's clash between Roger Federer and Andy Murray.
The Fed Express won a superb contest on centre court on Wednesday night, overcoming the always-entertaining Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in five sets.
