Carlos Alcaraz’s sleeveless Nike outfit sets pulses racing at US Open
Tennis World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz has sent social media into meltdown after showing off his exclusive new look on centre court.
Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has set pulses racing at the US Open.
The World No. 1 sent social media into a tailspin after walking out onto Arthur Ashe Stadium for his first round encounter.
Alcaraz, 20, removed his warm up jacket and showed off the guns as he flaunted a singlet in what is his first exclusive Nike outfit.
The look had tennis fans abuzz with many commenting the look was similar to what Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal continually rocked throughout his career.
Others jaws were on the floor at the impressive figure of the man who has taken the tennis world by storm.
One user wrote: “F*** me! Alcaraz going sleeveless is just the best thing happening today”
Another added: “Alcaraz going back sleeveless is giving me vintage Nadal vibes.”
A third wrote: “It’s just under 75 degrees in NYC, and Carlos Alcaraz turned up the heat with a sleeveless top.”

Of course not everyone was on board with the look with countless fans voicing their displeasure online.
One commenter wrote: “The shirt is awful.”
Another added: “This is not it.”
But it wasn’t just Alcaraz who was causing a stir with his choice of attire, his opponent Dominik Koepfer was also attracting plenty of attention.
While not sleeveless, Koepfer’s extremely colourful shirt was stealing the limelight away from his highly-fancied opponent.
Tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg wrote: “Making it known early that I fully support and endorse this Dominik Koepfer shirt.”
Fans couldn’t help but point out the pattern of the print did however resemble that of an old school TV losing signal with the official US Open account poking fun at it.

As the tennis world squabbled over the outfits of the two stars, Alcaraz set about his business and proved why he’s a force to be reckoned with.
The Spanish star comfortably accounted for his rival as he stormed through the opening set 6-2 before continuing the onslaught into the second set.
In the blink of an eye he had raced out to a 3-2 lead before Koepfer retired hurt.
Alcaraz next faces a second round contest with South African Lloyd Harris after he defeated Argentinian Guido Pella in straight sets.
