What time does Ash Barty’s Australian Open final actually start?
Ash Barty is hoping to make history when she steps on court for Saturday night’s Australian Open final against Danielle Collins.
Ash Barty is on the hunt for another grand slam title as she takes on Danielle Collins in the final of the Australian Open tonight.
The Aussie world No. 1 has trophies from the 2019 French Open and Wimbledon last year, but has never won her home slam.

The popular Queenslander is the first Australian woman to make the final of her home major since Wendy Turnbull in 1980 and if she beats Collins, Barty will become the first Aussie female to hold up the singles trophy Down Under since Chris O’Neil in 1978.
Barty’s match against Collins is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm AEDT and will take place on Rod Laver Arena.
Barty hasn’t lost a set all tournament and her ability to “problem solve”, as she put it earlier in the tournament, will be needed when she faces the hard-hitting Collins, who is also one of the most passionate and emotional characters on tour.
“It’s going to be a challenge for me to try and neutralise as best that I can,” said Barty. “I think the challenge is going to be trying to get her off-balance.”
