Thanasi Kokkinakis’ girlfriend Hannah dal Sasso teases Australian Open collaboration
The influencer partner of Australian tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis has hinted the pair are teaming up for a big campaign.
Just months after their romance was revealed, model Hannah dal Sasso has suggested she might be partnering up with tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis in more than just a romantic way.
At Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup the influencer model told NCA NewsWire she was working on a secret but “exciting” project with the Australian Open.
“It’s really exciting but I can’t talk about it,” she said.
“But it has something to do with the AO.”
Dal Sasso said she would be working on several other projects while Kokkinakis prepares to travel to Spain for the Davis Cup next week.
“I’m feeling good, I’m at my career high,” he said.
“Couldn‘t be happier with the year I’ve had, there’s a lot of room to grow but I’ll keep working and it’s good to be around the boys again.”
The fashion-forward duo did their best to combat the heat, though neither partook in the Cup‘s ground breaking decision to allow shorts for both men and women for the first time in 162 years.
Kokkinakis, who grew weary of “getting paid out for wearing black every year”, remains reluctant after having been slammed for wearing shorts at special occasions previously.
“I wore shorts at my mate’s wedding once and it didn’t go too well,” he said.
“People were asking me, ‘What are you doing?’, so I thought I’d stay in my lane today with pants.
“However, if there was a day to wear shorts it would be today – I’m pretty hot, I’m not gonna lie.”
Approval of the updated dress code was echoed by Brooke Warne, daughter of late cricket legend Shane Warne, who was forced to walk for half an hour in the heat after her car became stuck in pro Palestine and anti Cup protests.
“Women are allowed to wear basically whatever we want to wear,” she said.
“It‘s 30C, boys should be allowed to wear shorts – as long as they’re not board shorts.”
