World Pool Moment of the Year: One-horse trainer Kevin Daffy’s plea for Oh Too Good votes

One-horse trainer Kevin Daffy calls for public support as his Oh Too Good battles billionaire-owned horses in a World Pool popularity contest.

One horse Pakenham trainer Kevin Daffy has issued a call to arms to help Oh Too Good win an international public ballot.

Oh Too Good is one of four World Pool Moment of the Year finalists, along with Cox Plate champion Via Sistina and Ballarat-trained European Group 1 star Asfoora.

Globetrotting Japanese champion Forever Young, the equal third-highest rated horse in the world currently, rounds out the Moment of the Year popularity contest.

“Forever Young is owned by a Japanese billionaire and Via is owned by a Chinese mining billionaire, so we’re up against it,” Daffy said.

The Moment of the Year competition-winning strapper receives a VIP trip for four to Hong Kong next year.

The four finalists are: Yasuhiro Shibuta (FOREVER YOUNG), Chenelle Ellis (ASFOORA), Candice Persijn (VIA SISTINA) and Daffy.

“There’s no running tally, so we don’t know where we’re at,” Daffy said.

“Forever Young could have a million Japanese fanatics voting for it, so you just don’t know.”
