How can you go past the best sprinter in the world? And you can more than double your money here. The speed with be frantic, so Dwayne Dunn just has to stay out of trouble and watch him storm home.
TAB fixed odds: $2.10
DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun). Form: 22421

Backed up a nine length maiden win on debut with a Listed victory. Cam make it three in a row.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.70
SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 21212
JESSY BELLE
Race 6, No. 3
Don’t underestimate her at this track and distance. Checked before just finishing out of the placings at Flemington over 1400m last start. Has decent gate her and, with a pinch of luck, should be motoring late to get money.
TAB Fixed Odds: $9

RANDWICK
SPORTSMAN PREVIEW: RANDWICK
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 22125
IT’S SOMEWHAT
Race 3, No. 1
Looks to have a mortgage on the Craven Plate now main rival Raw Impulse will be saved for the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington on Sunday. It’s Somewhat comes off a good third behind the mighty mare Winx and Hauraki in the George Main Stakes last start and is meeting decidedly weaker opposition here. He is a class above his rivals.
TAB Fixed Odds: $1.60
BRAD DAVIDSON (Daily Telegraph). Form: 22157
WHO SHOT THEBARMAN
Race 8, No. 1
Put the writing on the wall with an eye-catching second in the Hill Stakes and that’s the A-grade for a race like this. The $8.50 looks a great price.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 22411
OUR BELISA
Race 4, No. 5
John Thompson trains this filly and she really found the line well to score over the 1600m at Kembla Grange on September 10. Will appreciate the big Randwick stretches and a wet track certainly won’t bother her either. She’s $13 at present which looks big overs.
TAB Fixed Odds: $13
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 41352
SACRED MASTER
Race 8, No. 7
Beat up on a good class field to win the Newcastle Cup in runaway fashion last start. There is a sense of confidence around the Waller stable about his prospects going deep into the spring carnival.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 37331
OCTAVIAN AUGUSTIS
Race 4, No. 3
Weeks ago when I saw this horse trial I immediately saw the Carbine Club winner in my crystal ball. This is a seriously good 3YO, not Astern or Impending class, but he is definitely the A minus miler grade of carnival quality. Everything about this guy screams big track miler and that’s what he gets on Saturday and hopefully on to Flemington after that.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.50
DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 21652
HAURAKI
Race 7, No. 2
Has returned in great order this campaign, winning the Group 2 Tramway Stakes before gallant second to Winx in the Group 1 George Main. Stable is firing and will be hard to beat.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 61175
YANKEE ROSE
Race 6, No. 1
Heavily backed when resuming in the Group 1 Golden Rose where she ran a decent race behind Astern and has subsequently won a barrier trial. Looks a class above her rivals.
TAB Fixed Odds: $1.90

DOOMBEN
SPORTSMAN PREVIEW: DOOMBEN
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 62264
PEPPERANO
Race 6, No. 14
Draws wide, but it’s the best start on the course and it will give her time to make her way across to a nice position. Both runs back have been good and rates clearly on top based on the last start effort. Is now 35 days between runs after being scratched a couple of times, but kept up to the mark with September 20 1200m barrier trial win.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.40
MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS
MORPHETTVILLE
SPORTSMAN PREVIEW: MORPHETTVILLE
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 31614
COUNTER PULSE
Race 7, No. 2
Talented four-year-old who should be nearing his best following two runs from a spell. Has a terrific record on the Parks circuit and drawn to enjoy a good trip from barrier two. Should be in the thick of things when it counts.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4
LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 88611
HONEY STEEL’S GOLD
Race 3, No. 5
In-form stayer who is returned to the flat and landed some very good bets to win last time.
Bumps into a similar lot here and should take a power of beating again.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3
