MATT STEWART, GLENN MCFARLANE AND DANNY RUSSELL LOOK AHEAD TO A MASSIVE WEEKEND AT MOONEE VALLEY IN THE LATEST SUPERRACING PODCAST

MOONEE VALLEY (Friday night)

DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun). Form: 12249

CASHED

Race 6, No. 7

Big run here at huge odds here last start. Has been good in better class races.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.20

MOONEE VALLEY (Saturday)

ROD NICHOLSON (Herald Sun). Form: 19062

AZKADELLIA

Race 10, No. 12

Brilliant at Cranbourne to make it two wins and a second from three starts. Has real quality and will be powering home.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 12242

LUCKY HUSSLER

Race 8, No. 1

Has established himself as a top-liner since joining the Weir stable. Defeated two top-liners in Disposition and subsequent Caulfield winner Stratum Star when he won the Toorak at his last start. Up only one kilo on so looks well in under WFA conditions.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.25

DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 62612

MANAGERESS

Race 10, No. 9

An underrated mare who sprouts wings over the last 400m. Second to La Passe in the Group 2 Blazer Stakes reads well.

TAB Fixed Odds: $9

Lucky Hussler has been heavily supported to win again at Moonee Valley. Picture: AAP

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 22044

LUCKY HUSSLER

Race 8, No. 1

Won strongly last start over this trip at Group 1 level and dropping back in class simply should be too good again. Also the best backed runner on the program.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.25

SIMON MOY (Superracing). Form: 13130

LUCKY HUSSLER

Race 8, No. 1

No reason why he cannot go back-to-back. Strong last-start win when he took out Toorak at Caulfield. Looks too good again.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.25

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing) Form: 612

LUCKY HUSSLER

Race 8, No. 1

High rating win in the Toorak Handicap and getting better with each run this campaign. Will be hard to hold out under the weight-for-age conditions of the Crystal Mile.

TAB fixed odds: $2.25

DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 31615

SERENE MAJESTY

Race 5, No. 1

Charged home to score an impressive win at Caulfield last start. Has drawn wide but will get back again then swoop late.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.90

RANDWICK

RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 11113

MR MANHATTAN

Race 7, No. 7

The latest quality sprinter to roll of trainer Joe Pride’s production line, created a huge impression with a brilliant comeback win at Warwick Farm on the holiday Monday meeting earlier this month. Mr Manhattan broke 57s winning over 1000m with apparent ease. The lightly-raced chestnut has won twice previously on soft going and has the ability to cope with the class rise on Saturday.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.70

NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 44x12

LIKE XENA

Race 9, No. 12

Love the way she sets up for this race and she’s taken sharp improvement off her last start effort. Big odds and probably should be a value bet but the neck goes out and hopefully she does it justice.

TAB Fixed Odds: $18

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 23413

WUDANG MOUNTAIN

Race 6, No. 1

From Chris Waller’s yard, this colt made the pace and fought right to the line when runner-up in the 1600m Listed Dulcify Quality here on October 3. At peak now and drops in grade here. Looks very hard to toss.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.10

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 121x5

DANISH TWIST

Race 9, No. 4

Was sent north last time and struck pay dirt. Is not harshly treated at the weights, only having to carry a half kilogram over what she lumped to win at Doomben. Should take a power of stopping again, in this all female affair.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6

SHAYNE O’CASS (The Sportsman). Form: 36330

SEBRINA

Race 9, No. 5

Was shut down at the 200m first up and Christian Reith had to sit up on her and coast to the line. The next time Joao Moreira rode her in a Rosehill and she drew 12, was 14th at the turn and saw so many rumps steaks up the running that it was amazing she even beat one home! She’s been back to the trials and was fabulous when 2nd to tearaway winner Tuscan Falls in a 791m heat at WF on Oct. 9. She is a winner here at Randwick on Cup Day last year and is 1s 0-0-1 at the trip and that was in the James HB Carr.

TAB Fixed Odds: $10

OFF & RACING: Big contenders for Saturday's Cox Plate

DOOMBEN

NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 31943

BEARSKIN

Race 4, No. 11

Two runs back from a break have been good and he’s set to enjoy a nice trail behind probable hot speed. Back to 1110m doesn’t look a great minus, as his two wins have been at 1000m and he’s very well placed in this grade of race.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 7131x

BEARSKIN

Race 4 No. 11

His two runs back from a spell have been super and he looks ready to peak here third up. He should let it all unfold in front of him from gate four and they will go very hard and he will be the one flashing home at the finish. He looks a special as does Groovy Gal in race three.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3

MORPHETTVILLE

BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 21250

OCTOBER DATE
Race 7, No. 3

High-quality four-year-old who raced lengths below his best at Flemington last time but would only be running here if trainer Nick Smart was happy with him. The one to beat if he can reproduce something similar to brilliant first-up win last month.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.20

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 23373

IMPULSE DIAVOLO

Race 8, No. 5

Hard not to be impressed by the way this bloke savaged the line to run down Mr Liberty last time. Runs into an even group of horses here, but he looks on the up and is going to take a power of beating.

TAB Fixed Odds: $2.90
