BEST BET
CORTES (Race 5 No.3): First-up after a long break but has won fresh previously and has the services of jockey Brad Rawiller.
NEXT BEST
LITZDEEL (Race 1 No.14): Made up a stack of ground from last on the turn to run fifth on debut. Half-sister to Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare. Won’t be a maiden much longer and could be an Oaks filly next autumn.
QUAFFTIDE (Race 7 No.10): Arrived in time to win his maiden last start track and distance, hard to go back-to-back but worth an each-way ticket.
VALUE BET
LORD PARAMOUNT (Race 6 No.7): Not won for quite a long time, going on 18 months, but recent runs good enough to pinch a race. Shame about the wide draw.
THE JOCKEY– LIAM RIORDAN
LITZDEEL (Race 1 No.14), ECHUCA MOAMA (Race 2 No.9), SURE THING (Race 4 No.4) and HAMPTON PALACE (Race 6 No.3).
