Best Bet
ALL TOO OFTEN (Race 1, No 6)
Heavily backed before jumping awkwardly and dropping out to last at Kyneton before making ground late along the fence. Beautifully bred and should be suited by the rise to 2000m.
Next Best
OCEAN DEW (Race 2, No 11)
Certain to be nearing peak fitness after two encouraging runs. Ballarat second was followed by a fading sixth in heavy conditions at Cranbourne. Suited by step to 1400m and tongue tie goes on.
BLOSSOM ON SNOW (Race 3, No 10)
$150,000 purchase as a yearling, who has been close up in two Cranbourne trials. Certain to be well prepared for this.
TEARS TO GLORY (Race 7, No 2)
Freshened since unlucky fifth at Swan Hill, where he was badly held up. Sharpened by recent Cranbourne trial. Patrick Payne stable is flying.
The Jockey
Dan Stackhouse
The in-form Kiwi rides VALENTINE (Race 1, No 5), JUST JAKE (Race 2, No 5), COONTARA (Race 3, No 2), FLYING BANJO (Race 4, No 6), BLAZING ASH (Race 7, No 9) and WALK FREE (Race 8, No 13).
